Guest Leonardo Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 Hello, My copy is flexi-vinyl with a 'H' stamped in the deadwax (both sides) and C221-3 & C222-3 scratched-in? Any help will be much appreciated. Jules56
Ernie Andrews Posted May 8, 2008 Posted May 8, 2008 seems ok to me Jules Used to get the odd one that was Reddish writing rather than the standard Brown. Not sure how many times its been booted People were very wary of boot Compass demos cos they did look like the originals at first galnce so If you have an issue its the safest thing to have and the price is no different from the demo. This record has never really gone up in price in recent years - Still hovers around the £100 mark for an mint minus one.

Jules56 My issue has R stamped in the run-out. Like the James Bounty on Compass the originals can have an H or R or I stamped in the run-out. The letters are 3 different pressing plants. West Coast, East Coast and Mid-States. I think the "H" stands for Hollywood, California. The "I" for Indianapolis, Indiana. "R" is Rockaway, New Jersey. Some bootlegs of James Bounty can have a fake H. "Easy Baby" boot is buff coloured label with brown lettering. Is your copy a demo or issue? Edited May 8, 2008 by Guest

Hi, mine is Radio Station Copy kinda off-white with minor staining and reddy brown lettering. Are you not able to see label scan I posted?
Guest Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Hi, mine is Radio Station Copy kinda off-white with minor staining and reddy brown lettering. Are you not able to see label scan I posted? Looks high quality vinyl like RCA 45's. I think it is an original. It is not like the bootleg demo from the 70's.
Hammie Posted May 9, 2008 Posted May 9, 2008 Dont think the Demo lookalike Bootlegs of Adventurers & James Bounty had on them the words 'Radio Station Copy' If my memory serves me well.

Here's one that has the red writing, CO-7009 Similar shade of Red as the Stock Copy I purchased the DEMO in the last couple of years, I wasn't expecting Red Writing as I hadn't seen one before. Guest mel brat Posted May 10, 2008 Posted May 10, 2008 Here's one that has the red writing, CO-7009 Similar shade of Red as the Interesting to read about the red/brown lettering, as I was never quite sure about my copy of James Bounty "Prove Yourself..". (The typo on "Prove..." is BROWN but on "Action Speaks Louder Than Words" it's RED. That threw me somewhat. Plus the labels are a slightly different shade, ie. Cream/White)
