There is a seventies reissue on green Prestige an eighties reissue on faux 50's yellow Prestige...... but the real mccoy is on very heavy 60's vinyl on a blue Prestige label

You might get better results if you drop the 'e' Great tune would this be classed as Crossover?

To me its a 6ts style dancer. One of my faves ever.

I think it used to get plays on the Jazz Dance scene as well it was on a Ace/BGP compilation and they reissued it on vinyl as Ive got a copy but want the real one.

Never got a US 45 release as far as I know.

I dug out my copy. I really don't know how to grade LPs (I am good at grading 45s) so I'll call this VG- / VG-. Cover has some wear (more noticable on the back cover) and there is a seam split at the bottom. Vinyl is very shiny, covered with very light surface scuffs / scratches, nothing deep or feelable at all. I played it and it played with light crackle but I've never cleaned this so it would probably play better with cleaning. Label is the original blue label, not a 70s or 80s reissue, but there is a red sticker on one side. Here are photos.

I would give it up right away for 100 pounds but make me an offer for less if you want. I also have a cleaner copy of Billy Hawks "the new genius of the blues" if anyone is interested in that (I know it is probably less in demand). Thanks.

you could also offer me a good group soul record (northern or sweet soul) in trade. Thanks.

Hi! just curiosity: I've never seen the recent re-issue of this top LP, how is it? has it got also blue Prestige labels, thick vinyl and so on? I mean is it a counterfait? how can you tell a real one from a reissue?

Thanks!

The 80's reissue is a BGP/Fantasy re-issue and its on an orange label but doesnt have the Prestige logo.

Its a legitimate reissue not a counterfeit. Still not an original though which is why Im seeking one.
