...Afternoon, everyone!

I'm sure that someone on here will have a copy of Tina Mason's "Finders Keepers" on Capitol. I just need to know the writer(s) of the flipside, "Anyway That You Want Me".

I'm hoping that it'll be Chip Taylor...

I don't especially need a soundclip (although that would also be useful!) - as long as I have the writer info confirmed, that'll be a big help for an Ace project that I'm working on...

Thanks in advance,

TONE :boxing:

I've got it at home Tony and will check and report back unless someone beats me to it (very likely as I won't get home for 3-4 hours!)

Hi Tone

Just dug this out. Indeed the writer credit for "Any way that you want me" is Chip Taylor

Cheers John - and cheers also to Martin, for the offer of info. Harry, I think that might be urban myth, they don't really sound that much alike. But Tina Mason is definitely Tina and the Mustangs on Capitol. I believe that someone (not Ace) has a (legally licensed) CD of her entire Capitol output coming out soon, with an in depth interview, so if she really is also Judy Street I am sure that the notes will confirm.

Thanks again, guys. Really helpful stuff...

As you probably already know Tina has a good cover of 'What' on her album and I've heard that rumour, but I didn't start it  I suspect she's no more Judy Street than she is Gloria Jones

Thought I heard somewhere that, although Tina Mason and Judy Street are not the same person, the photographs used for Tina's Capitol LP were actually photos of Judy Street - some mix up in the promotions department.

Might be all pie in the sky though.

wow, well that would certainly explain it if that's the case! Anyone have a bona fide photo of Judy Street to compare?

'Tis the same 'myth' known to me - if it is, indeed, a picture of 'Judy' on the front of Ms. Mason's album 'Something Wonderful !' (with 'A good Kind Of Hurting' - LP only.. truly Awesome !!) and as Ali G might put it.. 'Ayye !! me 'JuDy' - she be Well Fit.. innit !!'
