Russoul1 Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 hi all, just picked up a copy of little ray - come swim with me - faro, noticed as with the enchantments - im in love with your daughter - faro, that the photos on the right side of the label are the artist/s. i persume this is the case, not just a great looking label but what a great way of seeing a picture of the artist/s. anyone got anymore info or scans of this label? or other similar labels that show the artist/s. russ

45cellar Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 (edited) There sure are some lovely looking label designs on Faro. Here are some of them: I don't have any on this label, however I have noticed them along the way. Don't know how many others did this, can only think of a handful, James Brown, The Lovelites. www.Popsike.com As Russ says, "what a great way of seeing a picture of the artist/s" Edited April 29, 2008 by 45cellar

Nickinstoke Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 Slightly changing the subject, but I have Joe Haywood "Strong feeling/I'm walkin'" on Front Page, and each side has a description of the track on the label. "Joe Haywood is in fine form on a driving uptempo search for his baby" on the B-side - you'd have to but that, wouldn't you? I wonder if these were put on demos? Any other records with a review on the label
