Dave Thorley Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 (edited) Karen Wolfe-First Time Out-B&J I know Malayka may have mentioned it before, but was listening this again this morning. A real nice set from 2006. Very southern, which is no real surprise as her manage is Bill Coday's wife Anne, she is also the step daughter of Denise LaSalle, tours with Denise on a regular basis as well as working with Blak Ice. Saw her in concert with Blak Ice, not long ago in Memphis, she had the crowd eating out of her hand. Her stage act is very reminiscent of a younger Denise, chatting to the crowd, down dirt and raunchy. Karen's vocals range is great and very mature. It's her voice that also does the duet on the Blak Ice CD. This is her first solo outing and has sold well around the deep south. If you like southern soul with a contemporary edge, then this is for you. Availble, as always at CD baby. Even better Karen, Blak Ice, Bill Coday and Denise LaSalle!!!!!!!!!!! PM me if anyone's interested Edited April 26, 2008 by Dave Thorley
