Afraid its on Keyman, not Mirwood...(with an alternative version on Minit) and these days a good bit more than £20.

Sean

Hi

As Sean quite rightly states, It was never Originally released on Mirwood.

Keymen_K-102a.jpgKEYMEN - (ORIGINAL LABEL)

Released in the U.K. on Jay Boy in the 70's.

There were copies using the Mirwood Logo, (Let's just say "Available in the 70's" - Long and Complicated Story)

With the Instrumental as the A Side >>> LINK <<<

Yes, that's true, the Gold / Black type ones with 'Performers' Instrumental on the flip, Roger.

Bootiful!

biggrin.gif Yes, Bootiful Indeed.

As you can see, I originally put the Instrumental as the B Side.

I have since Edited my post as I'd forgotten that it came out when The Instrumental was in Vogue.

The Vocal actually relegated to the B Side on these "Mirwood" copies.

My mistake, I saw it on Manships assumed it was the original and thought, yeah i like that, I'll buy that

I just like that label. There's something classy about the Mirwood label.

I would be interested to know the story behind it though, care to enlighten me?

Even if it's not quite right on Mirwood, I think I'd prefer it as it's more aesthetically pleasing if nothing else laugh.gif

I have the Keymen, The Jay Boy & The Mirwood Copies.

As you say, the Mirwood Label is an attractive Logo & it is possibly, the only way to own the Instrumental.

Regarding the Story behind this release and others like it,

I don't quite know if we will ever achieve a definitive answer. unsure.gif

Could be a thread in it's own right >>> LINK <<< SIMILAR TO THIS ONE . whistling.gif

I quite like the Instrumental, always have.

Yeh - me too, if I'm honest.

And I adore The Womack.

Bet you bought yours from Boylans, same as me Roger!

Vocal & Instrumental (BRILLIANT)

As it happens, Yes. :wicked: I did Indeed.

Incidentely, In that very shop I held in my hands a copy of The Volcanos - (It's Against) The Rules Of Love

and I don't recall it being the DEMO. Had it been a DEMO I would have bought it,

I just remember the title as I changed it for a correctly Titled copy. Doh! (Haunted me ever since)

Thought they were Boots at the time & not everything they sold were Boots. frusty2.gif

For Instance they had some Via Bradford Market I believe.

I didn't know any different, Total lack of knowledge, leaves me wondering if a Stock Copy actually does exist.

It was in one of those record sized boxes that Mary had behind the counter,

I remember a few different shades of Arctic in the Box - All were meant to be "Laws Of Love".

Wish I had a Time Machine, I keep thinking, someone must have bought that copy I handed back about 35 Years ago.

Thanks for the insight, gives it a certain "provenance" I think. I do also like the idea of having the instrumental, so I think I'll just go for it, if noone can beat JM's price, it'll have to do, it's only £20 I suppose.
