Guest Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 Some of you will probably remember my raffle a couple of months ago for cancer research. Steve Lane donated a signed, framed George Best photo & book. I know how much giving this prize meant to him, the book belonged to his uncle who had recently died & had been at the book signing with him. My friend mentioned the prize to a work colleague who is a huge George Best fan. She asked if we could pull it from the raffle & let her auction it at a local irish charity do. We took her advice, checked with Steve & did so. Just got news in that it raised £100, so there's £100 winging its way to cancer research & one new & very happy owner of the picture & book. So thanks Steve, from me & all Gills friends & family. It means a lot Kx
