Thats OK I am new to this site and wasn't sure if someone was having a pop! I hope that I have not misused the ad's page but I thought that it might get to a few new people and as my mate Ciro says ''you have to be in it to win it!''. I had never been on this site before but we have lost two good people this last month and I felt that it was a good place to go on to to find some of the other 'old faces' that we haven't heard of for years. Keep On Keeping On buddy, Mark

I've got a few bits hiding around the house, but I'm not sure if I could let them go...partly emotional attachment and mainly as they are jointly owned by my brother and I would have to check with him first to see if he would be willing to let any of them go. However If you would be really keen I'll ask him, answer will probably be no but if he's skint then you never know laugh.gif

Basically until 1993 we lived in the Solomon Islands, where there was a major conflict between the USA and Japan. Americans left everything behind and you would just stumble on huge arms dumps, jeeps and a tank in the jungle. You could pull dog tags out of the sand on the beach called 'Red Beach'.

Best stuff came from when we scuba dived, they were several Japanese ships you could dive on..from memory the Bonegi (sic)...anyway we used to pull up all sorts of stuff and then get it cleaned up....massive brass shells and timers...coke bottles and other bits and pieces. Even sat in the cockpit of an American bomber!

Most of the stuff we couldn't bring back but we did get some of it back, if any of that type of thing would be of interest then let me know and I'll give my brother a call...
