Guest rockcandy Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 arent they all boots.....via S Soussan 70ts tape There was a rumour some years back that a few record dealers/Dj's had met up with Ray Agee in the USA & when they discussed track "i'm losing Again" Ray advised that whilst he had recorded track he was never signed to Soultown Records, i've no idea how true this is or if it is purely an "urban legend". have no memory of whom dealers/dj's were. At the end of the day it is a cracking track & i wish i had a copy!!!!

Pete S Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 pretty sure i remember seeing this on richard domars list from late 80's eraly 90's for a few quid on soultown! He's not daft, I know the odd thing has slipped past him but he'd have known this and wouldn't have given it away, and I definitely never saw it and I had every catalogue from 86 onwards
Trev Thomas Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 He's not daft, I know the odd thing has slipped past him but he'd have known this and wouldn't have given it away, and I definitely never saw it and I had every catalogue from 86 onwards well, he let the magnetics on sable & the brooks bros go for a fiver each in 1984..pete crampton bought em
Pete S Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 well, he let the magnetics on sable & the brooks bros go for a fiver each in 1984..pete crampton bought em Brooks Bros was only semi known then. Ray Agee had been played since 79. And I know he sold Buddy Smith for about a fiver (which is all it's worth anyway, mediocre detroit dirge that it is) and I'm not saying he didn't slip up, we all did...just saying it's not as if he wouldn't know the Ray Agee.
