Peter99 Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 This was Richard at his absolute best. The quality of the tunes records - old and new was stunning. My personal view is that these are some of the best sets ever played on our scene - I don't think they'll ever be matched for the quality and versatility. Thanks for posting em up mate. Peter

Peter A pleasure, it just shows how diverse Richard's playlist was and how he tried to introduce great music whatever the decade it was recorded....
Daved Posted August 8, 2023 Posted August 8, 2023 Old thread revival. Richard has recently added this to Mixcloud. I know nearly all of them, but some I don't. Any chance anyone could add a track listing please? https://www.mixcloud.com/spurs1961/my-final-dj-set-at-wigan-casino-691981/ 2

Frankie Crocker Posted August 8, 2023 Posted August 8, 2023 Big thanks to Chalky for the track list. Other cover-ups are Royal Esquires - Ain’t Gonna Run, The Q - That’s The Way and Sam Williams - Love Slipped Through My Fingers. Little Ann was an acetate, now issued on Kent. What an awesome set from Richard - surely a knighthood awaits him? 2

Daved Posted August 11, 2023 Posted August 11, 2023 The Ike Strong sounds great. I thought it was True Image first but it sounded different so I wasn't 100%. I'm amazed it was such a popular record that warranted lots of handclaps in unison.
