Prophonics 2029 Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 That's given me an idea for the out-of- date athlete's foot powder in the bathroom cabinet- I don't know why I own it cause I've never had athlete's foot. Another mistaken self-diagnosis. Anyway no need for it to go to waste. I rarely use talc, the way I dance I prefer a modicum of grip- or I end up A over T. Can get wrong footed by very slippy floors if in very hard soled girly shoes. Used to have this debate about talc with Matt Jahans who promoted the original Dome- he used to cover the floor in talc before the night started and sweep it round with a broom- so you had no choice! In the end I persuaded him we could have a 'deep end' (with) and a 'shallow end' (without). I keep a piece of soap in my purse for grip to rub on my shoes, in case I end up at a floor resembling a Christmas grotto scene. Fuckin Gardenia scented stuff at do's, don't it just do your head in! Lily of the bloody valley.. lavender... there's a time and a place! Like smelling your gran. Michele
Prophonics 2029 Posted April 16, 2008 Posted April 16, 2008 Must say I love a little talc, later in the mornings its a blessing. I all was thought Northern & Talc go hand in 'err' foot and when you get so many beer spills I think it gets cancelled out and seen more accidents from wet dance floors than talc. I have never taken it to a club must must thank the people who do, Tar talcers for that help in to all those corners at the right time.

I'll have a vodka and redbull Great bloke, made me laugh a lot Winnie :-)
Guest gordon russell Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 maybe they should put big tubs of it at each corner like they do at gymnastics events or better still like they do at sumo wrestling basho's (match's). then all the fat geezers can throw it about just like cheanofuji lol
Guest kid mohair Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 Ban talc.........you come home covered in the stuff..
Guest Posted April 18, 2008 Posted April 18, 2008 (edited) I hate talc specially when ya get some peeps put it down in the middle of the dancefloor...... if they have to use it i just wish they would put it in a corner or at the edge of the dancefloor JB xxxKTFxxx I'm with you on this one! I am rather robust (fat f****r) and talc makes me slip and slide and I just cannot dance. I actually put soap on my soles as this helps me stay more stable and less slippy (strangely enough).
