Picked this record up yesterday:

Barbara & Gwen - Just the Two Of Us/I Love My Man - New Chicago Sound NCS-6921

Anybody familiar with it? Google search doesn't turn up much. A-side is midtempo danceable. B-side is an excellent deep soul ballad.

I bought one of these mint for $15 off ebay a few years ago. It had a yellow label, though. It's nice.

This is a record I usually find clean and not beat up for some reason. It is hard than "right out" but not as good in my opinion. Doesn't really go for anything. You know that barbara is from the duettes / barbara and the uniques, right? THanks.

Yeah, agreed, though it's hard to compare a soul record to a funk record. And yeah, I had picked up on the Duettes connection from Soulful Kinda Music.

Oh, I listened to your best of the year radio show last week dude.....some great stuff in there. Enjoyed it.
