Soulsmith Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 Protest Songs aren't ideally suited to to the northern soul genre, which could at times be simplified down to "she loves me/she loves me not" But are there any good 60s stomper protest songs? Please no mention of James Coit Appreciate there are loads of 70s with maybe Al Wilson - Be Concerned right near the top for me. Al doing some sterling work making up for past misdemeanours? Whats your favourite.....stand up & be counted......vote with your fingers now! ps Currently listening to Sly & The Family Stone - Family Affair. Not really a protest song, but what a tune!
Guest Posted April 11, 2008 Posted April 11, 2008 Emanuel Laskey - I`m a peace loving man Song about the Vietnam war.
