If I´m not mistaken the Richard Burton is from an album which was never (officially) released. /Mel Link to comment Social source share

If I'm right about 2001 i will have to look tonight when I get back from work. When I got the 12 sampler he later told me that it had been recalled he had sent back all but the one I had picked up as soon as it came in the door on the Friday back to the distributors. As anyone on S/S manage to get a hold of one or picked one up since or know anyone that as one? Steve J Link to comment Social source share

Steve J I got the twelve sampler at the time, bought it from Mike Stephens I think, can't remember how much I paid for it, maybe a tenner. Don't think the album ever materialised, I've certainly never seen or heard any other tracks than were on the sampler. The twelve's pretty scarce I would have thought, though how in demand it is I wouldn't know. Roger Link to comment Social source share
Sutty
if its the 6-track 'MCA America' sampler, i'm pretty certain it was a bootleg taken from the promo cd. Uptown in soho used to get these album samplers in that were boots, Ann Nesby and Malik Pendleton were a couple of others. i think the fact it was a boot actually makes it rarer. Sutty makes me wonder how a 5 count boot of a Richard Burton 12" record ends up in a little record shop selling chart CD's and some chart LP's, 12" called "Left Legged Pineapple" in Loughborough! but nothing surprises me any more on the record collecting front! just wish i had bought all five Steve J Edited April 7, 2008 by SteveJohnston Link to comment Social source share
