Posted April 4, 200817 yr Does this get played anywhere? Great garage/soul, IMO, in the same vein as The Inmates. Just curious about others opinion this track.
April 4, 200817 yr It's a good tune (but far, far from their best though!) and I luckily don't think it sounds anything like The Inmates.
April 4, 200817 yr Fantastic track which I posted up about 4 years ago and asked exactly the same question! (About it being played, not about it being like The Inmates)
April 4, 200817 yr Their 'Have Love Will Travel' is better than Richard Berry's too. I've just said something heretical, but what the hell...
April 4, 200817 yr Didn't mean it sounded like The Inmates. Just used that as reference point for "garage with soul"!

Their Friday show at the Forum the other week was sensational, too (although i heard that the Sunday one was less good). I pogoed, somewhat involuntarily as I was being hoisted up and down by the surrounding crush, for the first time since the late 70s!
