Ok, nothing earth shattering and probably been done many times before, but.....

Shit day at work, need something to lift the spirits, look at the sounds and think "that will do" -

Robert John - "Raindrops, love and sunshine" followed by,

We The People - "Making my daydream real"

All of a sudden the world seems a better place.

What does it for you?

One thats doing it for me at the moment as seems to be getting plays wherever I am at present is -

Bob Relf - Blowing My Mind To Pieces

Have always wanted one and finally aquired one other day ( thanks Nev).

Totally uplifting and is what its all about after sh*t day at work & visit to dentist.

Also agree with last couple of posts - Bobby Hebb & Richard Temple plus Jackie Lee - Temptation Walk.

Deep Sensation- Somewhere, Somehow (there's a Soul heaven)

Im not to big in to the Soulful House, but there is the odd gem and this one of them. It actually uses Syl Johnson's "Is it becuase Im black?" over an old salsoul riff and the result is so soulful.

With you 100% on this tune Helen.

If i need a boost it is generally a female vocal that will do it for me. I dont know why, because my fave tunes are mostly male vocals.

Numero uno for just making the world a better place

Ivories - Please Stay.

If I'm bored at home and want to cut a kitchen rug

Sandi Sheldon - Your gonna make me want you

And if I need to scare all the dogs away in the neighbourhood I like to sing the backing harmonies to

Elbie Parker - Please keep away from me.

And sometimes Melancholy is good. At times like this i like to listen to

Supremes - Someday We'll be together, the live version from their final gig in the Motown 10 year anniversary box set.
