Sad to announce that Jimmy from Bangor left us last night to grace the ultimate eternal dance floor .

a quiet family guy, who kept himself to himself and was a man of few words, passed away in the company of his closest friends in a place he loved.

A regular until recent times at Winsford and Kings Hall, he had struggled with his illness but was determined to be at Stoke last night and was in great spirits on the journey down.

he may not have said much but his smile when we met up made you aware that he enjoyed your company and the feeling was reciprocated, and we'll miss that towel around his neck and his soggy sweating bear hug.

Gone now but suffering no more, and will always be with us

Heartfelt condolensces to Rhian and the family, our thoughts are with you

Wulfie and Annie

Addition - posted on U Tube by Gerry and Donna today - link below - apologies to Moderators if I have broken any rules as I have no idea how to post anything up

Finding it very hard to write this, Jimmy was one of the best and a very dear friend. Gerry and Jimmy travelled the north of england and more every weekend together for many many years they were inseparable Ieuan started going with them from around 2002 right up until 2005 then due to personal reasons they stopped going every weekend and then they just went once a month together along with Ricky, Phil, Tony & Dennis until 2007 when Jimmy became ill and even then Jimmy only missed winsford and stoke once they were his favourite venues. A regular visitor at our home along with his wife Rhian and the kids who our heartfelt sympathy goes out to, Jimmy loved his northern soul as he said only the other night when at ours listening to records "once it gets a hold of you you can't get rid of it", he would often say to Gerry in a joking manner "Look at us We were going every where before Ieuan and now he's overtaken us he always going to places", Well Jimmy you'll be going to them all now and laughing at us when we can't go, gonna miss ya mate but you'll be forever in our thoughts hope you've finally found your little room. R.I.P God Bless. Gerry,Donna & Family

Hiya Donna,

Wulfie and I will be there, Del wants to get up too but as she has to come by public transport we'll have to sort something out for her. You put a great post up for a great bloke who we're all going to miss like hell but I feel so blessed to have known him.

I didn't know him but I was at Stoke, if he felt that his time had come and needed to be a NS venue

then he chose well. I guess we'll all meet up at that big all-nighter in the sky. Condolences to his family.
