Known for a long time round Northants area, I first heard years ago played by Neil Smith, so would stick my neck out and say Cliff Steele toon orig as he was/ is way ahead of his time toon wise, Both sides nice. The original has a stuck on label, with a depression about 0.5cms towards the contre hole.... ....so that's the anorak stuff dealt with...more importantly, Elevator Song is a great tune, used to play it regularly in the days before mid-tempo Northern was relabelled as crossover Link to comment Social source share

Sunnysoul
Godoy Colbert's "Baby I Like It" on Revue is equally as good, uses the exact same backing track as Len Jewell ..... .... and the flip side of the Godoy Colbert 45, "I Wanna Thank You" is a superb slice of mid tempo soul that deserves playing. Always wondered though whether Len Jewell and Godoy Colbert are one and the same persons? Edited March 31, 2008 by sunnysoul Link to comment Social source share

The original has a stuck on label, with a depression about 0.5cms towards the contre hole.... I've been after Elevator song for ages. I thought the orig was on styrene and boot on good vinyl. Am I right? Jordi Link to comment Social source share
