Hi,"ALL MY GOOD LOVIN"/ "ELEVATOR SONG" on Pzazz by the legend LEN JEWELL.

Think i'm right in saying the re-issue has the long run-out? Moulded label?.Scratched matrix?.Can't be a "boot",,the labels too complex?

How about the original? info please guys!!!

Also "ELEVATOR SONG",anyone else like this toon?.Has it been played out much?

Last question ,is "ALL MY GOOD LOVIN" one of the most underated oldies?

cheers,,KEV :D

Hi Elevater song yep have heard out but not much. Known for a long time round Northants area, I first heard years ago played by Neil Smith, so would stick my neck out and say Cliff Steele toon orig as he was/ is way ahead of his time toon wise, Both sides nice.

Hi Kev, yep, you're right the boot has a very wide dead wax, with moulded label. The original has a stuck on label, with a depression about 0.5cms towards the contre hole....

....so that's the anorak stuff dealt with...more importantly, Elevator Song is a great tune, used to play it regularly in the days before mid-tempo Northern was relabelled as crossover :P

Godoy Colbert's "Baby I Like It" on Revue is equally as good, uses the exact same backing track as Len Jewell .....

.... and the flip side of the Godoy Colbert 45, "I Wanna Thank You" is a superb slice of mid tempo soul that deserves playing.

Always wondered though whether Len Jewell and Godoy Colbert are one and the same persons?

I've been after Elevator song for ages. I thought the orig was on styrene and boot on good vinyl. Am I right?
