March 29, 200817 yr I always preferred the version of "She Kissed Me" on "Fairmount", which is a tad slower. Also "Jay J. Jones - I Don't Know About You"on V-Tone uses the same backing as "She Tried To Kiss Me". There was also another "Butlers" on Parkway, but this is a White rock/pop combo, so be wary. Des Parker

I can remember playing this tune on our ensemble radio show ("The Cool & The Crazy" - KCRW-FM Santa Monica CA-USA) some 20 years ago and watching our phone lines simply EXPLODE with listeners who instantly recognized that they were hearing possibly the most ROCKIN' soul disc of all time. I can tell you that the show (& station) staff were just WAILIN' in the studios and hallways. What a sweet, SWEET moment in time. --Hawkster Just a "Cool Show" foot soldier
May 1, 200817 yr Author Wow thanks Hawkster for sharing your moment with us, long gone are the days where if ever a record like this would be played on the UK radio so the only way to get to listen to them is at a club, friends copy or a sales tape. some thing we sadly missed out on the radio station promotion.
