Hello one and all, recently dug out my old remnants of a record collection.

one of my records is a "White MOTOWN label"

Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons "Hickory" produced by Bob Crewe. Its a promotional disc double A side Mono one side Stereo the other. The number for purist is M 1288F A. It was recorded in 74 by Stone diamond music.

Does anyone know anything about it I have never played it and obviously does it have any value?

Thanks "De-To"

Not yet ready for retirement (Yes I am!) this believe it or not is a genuine info request and your input is greatly appreciated.

Again thanks

thanks for that biga,a lot of record companys and not just motown in the usa issued double a side 45s because if a dj accidently put on the b-side of a proper a and b side issue 45 it would be quickly taken off the decks and the next 45 was played thus the taken off 45 did not get any airplay due to time/slots etc, sleep3.gif:huh: ,phew that was a bit long winded but hope this makes sense, ive sent myself to sleep, laugh.giflaugh.gif:lol:

i read about this years ago so hope its correct, rolleyes.gifrolleyes.gif

The early seventies double A demos were often made one side mono and one side stereo, so that the DJs at the newly formed FM stations could play the crisper sounding Stereo versions.
