Agent45 Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 Hermon Hitson, Ralph "Soul" Jackson and Barbara Mason playing in Austin tonight - and also at the Ponderosa Stomp. Charles Walker still gigging with The Dynamites (I think they're heading to Europe sometime soon?). Wiley & the Checkmates are doing the thing right now, writing new soul tunes that sound great, and of course, the Dap-Kings always put some soul into their funk. I think there's plenty out there for the American soul fan who is paying attention. Maybe not every week in every city, but it IS out there.
