Simsy Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Think this was on an LSC (Loughborough Soul Club) boot as well with the Lucky Charms & Bobby Valentin on the flip. Will have a look later.

Simsy Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Thats what i was thinking of ian, think i have that somewhere Yeah will have a look later - 'Tied To Your Heart' apparently booted from being plugged into the decks at Loughborough Town Hall whilst Rob Smith (?) was DJ'ing..
Tony Smith Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 IT WAS PLAYED BY PAT BRADY AT STAFFORD...COVERED UP AS ROBBY LAWSON Pat played the Padded Cell version.. This version was played by Dave Thorley, not Keb

I know the guy that wrote the padded cell record, I looked through his records / acetates and he didn't have an acetate of this, by the way (I'm not saying it doesn't exist, I'm just saying that it must be a one-off or very rare type of thing).
Anoraks Corner Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Yeah will have a look later - 'Tied To Your Heart' apparently booted from being plugged into the decks at Loughborough Town Hall whilst Rob Smith (?) was DJ'ing.. Lucky Charms...rare disc...good manic flipside too. (Pat's acetate of the Padded Cell is slightly different to the finished Toddlin' Town release, by the way.)
Garethx Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 I've always wondered what market the Padded Cell version was aimed at.
Pete S Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 I've always wondered what market the Padded Cell version was aimed at. The pop charts I'd have thought, it's well in keeping with the semi-psych of the time
Garethx Posted May 28, 2008 Posted May 28, 2008 Pat played the Padded Cell version.. This version was played by Dave Thorley, not Keb I'm sure Dave Thorley was definitely selling this on the sales list he produced in about '87. The list contained many of the Stafford monsters including The Ringleaders acetates, Hattie Winston acetate, a Glenda McCleod original, Soul Bros. Inc. etc.. I kept a copy of that list (along with lots of other interesting sales lists from the period) for many years and only lost it recently while moving house. It made fascinating reading and I wonder if anyone still has a copy and could post up a scan.
