Maria O Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 In the main room at the Prestayn Weekender recently, I took some short videos of the live acts with my camera. The aim was to keep for these myself and share with some friends in Oz who couldn't be there, but then it felt right to share with others who loved the experience too or missed out. But of a shame the auphoria was spoilt when it was posted in the media section > CLICK HERE FOR LINK < But now... A guy on another soul list mentioned that he had passed my You-Tube link of his song to Swamp Dogg, who said he was impressed (how kind was that!) and had asked if anybody had videoed the whole performance. Then yesterday, I was contacted via You-Tube by a a guy claiming to be Sammy Campbell's son (Frank) who had seen the Del Larks/ Sammy Campbell You-Tube videos and would love a dvd of the performance if possible. I just wondered if anybody knows any of the people who were taking proper videos. There were at least a couple I noticed, but I don't know most people anyway and have no idea who they were. It would be great to give something back and arrange for the artists to have a copy of their performance . m

Just let me know.

Tomangoes Posted March 15, 2008 Posted March 15, 2008 Fantastic Link, just about makes it all worth while. Congrats to the promoters / artists also for allowing you to film. I took a video camera to LA2004 and was banned from using it, but that was maybe to ensure the official dvd of the event sold well. I think the artists just love to be respected for what was in most cases a thankless and fruitless music making task all those years ago. Ed
