Posted March 3, 200817 yr Sorry, but Yes. In an effort to hear something different another new night starts in May in North Manchester. Definately NOT aimed at those that prefer the Top 500, but quality and underplayed uptempo (mostly) 60's Soul. Got some Collectors/DJ's lined up, but if anyone fancies it going forward gizza shout. More Later. Tony

Well, first off we're not talking a Bury or Heywood sized Ballroom, but an "intimate" room And, if I've checked the dates correctly, 2nd Saturdays. ATB Tony

ATB Tony Hi Tony, Intimate sounds interesting! LOL You might be right (if It's substantially different in its music policy) we've already got Des Jones's nights and Harry's night at St Bernadettes in north manchester but I'm guessing you're thinking of something musically different to them. Do you know what they guys are planning with Cleckheaton?, or rather which nights they are planning to run with?.. Cheers Jayne.x

YES seriously though, we're gonna try and carry on from where we left off at Pockets a few years back, which was mainly 60's, but more importantly not played to death and fresh to a few ears. Oh yes, and any suppliers of Fine Vinyl will be more than welcome. ATB Tony

I give in, my mate Pete will never find it at this rate, he's no good at cryptic clues. Take care,be safe & "Think before you drink, before you drive", Spot.

Malc Burton Depends on how you define "well" Malc, as I've just spent 4 nights at Prestatyn with what appeared to be the entire cast of "One flew over the cuckoo's nest" & an extremely large choral society who theme tune seemed to be, " Anything you can drink I can drink more of, I can drink anything much more than you", and don't even hum the next line, cos they CAN!!! Also Malc, guess what? Yes it was as wild & cold as Cleethorpes & for longer but my God what a weekend, what a laugh, what a hangover & what a dump, so yes we'll be back. Take care, be safe & "Clunk click every trip", Spot. p.s. Still writing the epic that is Prestatyn Weekender, it's in proof readers at the moment.

March 11, 200817 yr Author Right then, looks as though the first few may become something of a movable feast as we try not to clash with anyone, especially Our Friends in The East. First one WILL be Saturday May 10th, 8 til 1.00 am. More nearer the time, when we hope to have everything settled. Tony the Manc Engine
