Quinvy Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 Went to a couple at Trencherfield Mill about 6 years ago. The one in Golborne was run by Dean. Not sure if it's the Miners Welfare Club or summert like that. That was Golborne Catholic Club......... The famous one round these parts, from the late sixties, was Harrisons Hoist in Earby. It was just two terraced houses. Coffee bar downstairs, and just empty bedrooms upstairs, bare floor boards, and a tiny room with window onto the "dance floor" for the DJ. Us kids were allowed in till midnight, then we were booted out when all the cool dudes from Manchester came in on the last bus. Really atmospheric place. Closed because of the usual drugs perception....

Pete S Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 DJ'd at one in Market Harborough once, think it was the town hall. Plus others Wolverhanpton Civic Albrighton Hensford Alsager Sandbach I honestly don't ever remember an allnighter at Wolverhampton Civic Dave (not saying you're wrong) they were in the adjoining building, The Wulfrun hall usually. Also in Wolverhampton there was a nighter at the Whispering Wheels aka the Rollerdrome (opposite where the Cats used to be) and a long running and excellent allnighter at St Giles Youth Club in Willenhall (aka Sammies), that was my first ever nighter. Also we had a nighter at Wombourne Youth Club the week after Wigans 4th anniversary and it was rammed.
