Stafford stuff, Shrine issues when they first made it big etc ... And some of the un-issued Motown stuff etc. etc. Mostly great stuff and a few shite. Ray pollard-This time and Johnny Summers - I'm still yours are memorable for me ... Married with young kids at the time, no dosh to go to gigs. And stuck up in the soul-less frozen wastes of the North East. These cassettes were a breath of fresh air, to top-up my (at the time) large collection of vinyl, amassed during the '70s. One track stood out head & shoulders for me ... As the ultimate "Just discovered in a dusty cellar" track Covered up ??? A supposedly un-issued girlie motown track. As far as I'm aware was an album only track, and is on The Supremes album I hear a symphony released in 1966. You can get it on American and British releases. Also came out on Diana Ross & The Supremes "Baby Love" compilation on Music for pleasure in Britain. Really nice track too. Hope this helps. PM please I got that track within 30 seconds (the wonders of the internet). Posted a link to it, which was deleted, fair enough ........ I don't know what I love about this song ??? The chorus is just amazingly hypnotic !!! I do not think it's the same one off the cassette I had .... Mind battered off years of beer & drug abuse !!!! Is there a Supremes version ????????? The second track was the one I had on cassette. The tape was snapped about 18 years ago ... I thought I was going deaf yesterday, when hearing the other version. Now I'm just confused ... I like the first one I heard from links on here. But the second one brings back memories.
