Guest Posted February 11, 2004 Posted February 11, 2004 Hello! Here is another list of records for sale. All US originals unless stated. I try to grade accurately and with consistency, but if you still feel that you have been done wrong, get in touch asap(within 7 days from receiving the records) and we will sort it out with a refund, reduction, replacement or whatever. I think my grading equals or betters many major UK dealers I have dealt with, and as a collector I know the feeling of disappointment when you get a record in much worse condition than you had expected, hopefully this will not happen when you buy from me. PAYMENT. I accept CASH (in letter) and PAYPAL ONLY! NO checks, money orders etc accepted. If paying with credit card through paypal please add 4% on top of total price to cover their fees. I can accept cash in USD and Euros, but then you have to add 3% in conversion and extra hassle fees. Sweden is NOT part of the euro zone. If you have friends who you feel should be getting this list, or you see this somewhere and want to join up (lists go out earlier to list members!), go to https://groups.yahoo.com/nordicsoul/ and join. Or send an empty e-mail to nordicsoul-subscribe@yahoogroups.com TO HEAR ANY RECORD, give me a call and I'll play it for you. Best chance of reaching me between 1700 and 2000 CET, other times (not after 2200 CET please!) are also possible. +46 40 26 27 76, ask for Christian. If you for some reason decide you no longer want a record after placing an order, would you PLEASE let me know? SHIPPING by regular airmail costs £3 for 1-3 45's within all of Europe. Registered mail covering value of around £35 costs £7 for 1-3 45's also within all of Europe. REPLIES AND ENQUIRIES TO. sectleader@hotmail.com PLEASE DELETE ALL BUT THE RELEVANT BIT WHEN REPLYING! *Bobby Reed - The Time Is Right For Love/If I Don't Love You - Bell M- dh. £600 (perfect copy of this essential masterpiece, no hiss, no cracks, no distortion. Still in original sleeve. The only thing that makes it "-" IMO is a cut out drillhole, which is rather discrete. We all know that a small number of copies has come onto the market, but when they are gone, they are gone, and the demand will still be there. Most you see elsewhere are usually in poor condition.) *Leo Price & Band - Hey Now baby - Up-Down M £400 or offers above before 1700 CET on Friday Feb 13. If no offers above then the first caller gets it for £400.(Big northern spin in recent times for Tim Brown, Ginger & Mick H. R&B/northern covered up until recently as "Lee Crandle Experience". This might be your only chance in a long time to get this very rare piece. There is a scan and sound snippet on Manships site under "rarest of the rare". Would be an absolute monster in any R&B or mod event) *Melvin Davis - You Made Me Over - Invictus DJ M- £85 (classic quality x-over sound. Vinyl copy, most I've seen were styrene, in nice shape. Don't miss him at Prestatyn!) *Melvin Davis - Save It/This Love Was Meant To Be - Mala M- £20 (two superb sides, one dancer and one superb x-over floater) *Harry & Keyavas - If This Is Goodbye - IPG M £85 (good early 60's dramatic male group northern. Stafford spin I think.) *Robert Neal - I'm So Glad - Port M £40 (superb feelgood up-tempo northern dancer) *Joe Hinton - Got You On My Mind - Back Beat M £40 (fantastic soulful record that is slowly but surely getting the recognition and dance floor spins it deserves, a personal fave. Surprisingly hard to find too, unlike most of his others) *Sammy Bryant Group - Grapevine - Roulette WDJ M- £100 (Great NY northern soul. Big city soul of quality, and not just bombastic b.s.! Superb semi-known, dramatic and soulful with a superb sax break. I would be surprised if this does NOT go big with just a little exposure!) Hear it at www.soulclub.org quite rare. *Bobby McNutt - I'm Getting Ready - Roulette WDJ VG+ £25 sl. warp n.a.p. (Very good and soulful record. Powerful and tasteful production with a singer that sounds like a cross between Johnny Sayles and Otis Clay. Mid-tempo/beat ballad type record. Looks a bit scruffy but plays well, and a M copy would be £60 or more. *Rose Hargrove - Why Am I Losing You - Afco M £75 (gritty vocal on this mid-tempo northern/R&B mover, Stafford spin I think. A bit like Etta James. Seen for £150) *Judy Clay - Do You Think That's Right - Ember WDJ EX £85 (Driving R&B dancer with harmonica and stuff. Seems to be quite in-demand. Nice heavy vinyl WDJ copy) *Ernestine Anderson - Keep An Eye On Love - Sue M- £45(Good jazz flavoured early soul dancer. Popular mod sound if I'm not mistaken.) *Miracles - Whole Lot Of Shaking In My Heart - Tamla M- (classic northern stomper. floorpacker.) *Willie Hightower - Because I Love You - Capitol M dh £20 (great and soulful northern dancer) *Charles Spurling - She Cried Just A Minute - King M- dh £85 (superb northern dancer, period.) *Marv Johnson - Come On And Stop - UA M- £40 (Popular early 60's latin flavoured dancer, Roger Banks spin) *Marv Johnson - Come On And Stop - UA WDJ M £50(pristine white demo of above record!) *Bobby Jones - Talkin' 'Bout Jones' - Expo M £25(superb northern with a x-over flavour. Same backing as Chris Campbell-You Gotta Pay Dues, becoming more and more popular this one) *Flirtations - Change My Darkness Into Light/Natural Born Lover - Josie M £20 (two pleasant motownesque girl group northern dancers. Lovers of girl group northern will love this) *Norfolk - Giftwrap My Love/Don't Ask Me - Trenton Intl. M- £20 (One up-tempo mid-70's dancer and a very nice male group sweet ballad side. Slight stereo defect on dancer side due to pressing flaw, all copies are like this. Quite rare and lists at £40) *Ronnie Savoy - Loving You - Wingate WDJ M- £15 (great Detroit northern soul!) *Danderliers - All The Way/Walk On With Your Nose Up - Midas M £60 (Good male group doo-woppish northern dancer. Nice flip.) *Inuz Moore - Trouble - Gardin M- £100 (super gritty dancer with a driving beat. Sounds a bit like the grittier and more primitive D- Town/Wheelsville, One-Derful/Mar-V-Lus recordings. If you like things like this and R&B, you need to hear this. Flip is a catchy proper R&B dancer in a traditional "club" style. *Tony La Mar & Band of Bachelors - Don't Ever Leave Me - Five Four M £50 (good early 60's northern that sounds more like late 60's. Slightly funky northern dancer with good horns and bongos. Obscure West Coast) *Kenny Hamber - Time - De Jac M £ 70 (great early 60's sounding northern dancer. Yet another Stafford spin I believe) *James Kelly Duhon - In School - Jude M- £25 (Great sound somewhat reminiscent of Lou Pride-Your Love Is Fading IMO. Guy Hennigan spin) *Mary Wells - Bye Bye Baby - Motown M pink striped label. (great early 60's dancer. Gritty vocal performance from Mary and this tune really rocks, in a good way! Should appeal to all early 60's and R&B fans) *James Fry - Still Around - Hi DJ M- £25 (very good and soulful mid- tempo soul, should appeal to all deep & x-over fans.) *Bobby Bland - Shoes - Duke M- £30 (classic northern that's popular pretty much everywhere) *Continental Four - The Way I Love You - Jaywalking M £15 (superb 70's group northern dancer. Mecca spin) *Eddie Jay & Ray - Keep Smilin' - PPLO M- £30 (early 80's dancer, modern soul/rare groove. Recent hype on this one) *Bud Harper - Wherever You Were - Peacock M- £200 (monster R&B/Northern) *Mr. Caldwell - Love Bandit - Scorpio VG+ £150 (Rare killer northern that was big at Stafford and covered up as Bud Harper. Plays loud and well with only a few light pops here and there that doesn't distract much from listening pleasure. NOT a "frying pan full of bacon"!) *Wanderers-You can't run away from me-UA M £50 (superb latin flavoured northern oldie, Ray Pollard on vocals) *Deon Jackson - I can't go on / I need a love like yours - Carla WDJ M- £45 (st.m./small tear on flip) (One of his best, if not the best, of his 45's. Spin for one of the UK's top northern dj's (he is IMO anyway!)) *Roy Hamilton - Earthquake - Epic M- (+ nice picture sleeve with Roy on it in EX cond.) £100 (early 60's classic northern dancer) https://www.soulclub.org/stream/Roy_Hamilton_-_Earthquake.ram *Johnny Dixon - Where are you - Boss M- £55 (Detroit classic, same tune as Four Sonics) https://www.soulclub.org/stream/Johnny_Dixo...re_Were_You.ram *Jimmy Love - Two Sides To Every Story - Josie M £50 (good northern soul with a driving dance beat. 90's spin I think) *Little Richie - One bo dillion years - Sound Stage 7 DJ M- £75 (superb northern/R&B dancer, better than "Just another heartache" IMO) https://www.soulclub.org/stream/Little_Ritchie_-_One_Bo- Dillion_Years.ram *Charms - If You Got The Notion - Emblem M £40 (catchy northern soul dancer.
