Guest soulfiend Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 (edited) I knew that getting back into collecting vinyl was going to be exasperating after many years away, but this I have been scouring junk shops this week, digging in crates something I havent done for years (forgotten how enjoyable it can be). I came across a fair few singles to take a risk on, not necessarily to keep myself, but hopefully some that I can move on to fund other purchases, as you do! I found this Mitch Ryder vinyl, 7" on NEW VOICE (Pale blue label, black lettering #NV800) You get your kicks c/w Devil with the blue dress/Good Golly Miss Molly. I bought it purely because I recognised Mitch Ryders name and so decided to take a punt. Manships website describes it thus, "EXTREMELY rare late 60's bootleg, Highly collectable" Wasn't sure what the hell this really meant so I emailed them to ask, the reply, "Just asked John, sorry its a RARE bootleg" , very helpful. Is it in fact worth the few pennies I paid for it?? I still havent got a clue. SO what exactly does Mr Manship mean by "EXTREMELY rare late 60s UK bootleg. Highly collectable!"?? Can anyone help me out here? Both sides are extremely uptempo, what Northern fans would call stompers perhaps? Anyway not my taste at all so I want to try to move it on, trouble is I have no idea how much to list it at on EBay, anyone have a ball park figure on a sensible starting bid perhaps??? Thanks for any input, now I need to go lie down I think.......................... Edited February 13, 2008 by soulfiend

I seem to remember It was around the time of the Soul Sounds, B.J.D. Boots.
Pete S Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 It might be extremely rare and highly collectable but nobody wants it and you'd be lucky to get a fiver for it
Guest soulfiend Posted February 14, 2008 Posted February 14, 2008 It might be extremely rare and highly collectable but nobody wants it and you'd be lucky to get a fiver for it Thanks for the info....... You win some and lose some I guess I picked up some decent stuff too which eases the pain, and at 50 pence even a quid would be a profit though I'll probably give it to someone whos more into the Northern stuff. Thanks again. Midge
