Guest Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 (edited) Not sure if this in the right section but here goes: Having been forced to move from Barrowby we are now looking to raise decks off the floor at our new venue, does anyone out there know anyone/someone who has wooden blocks/or anything portable to create small stage. If any information can you please contact me, thanks in advance Barry Cooper Edited February 13, 2008 by Guest
soullad Posted February 13, 2008 Posted February 13, 2008 (edited) Barry, i know this is probably over the top, and do not want to tell you how to suck eggs but if you can and want to do it kinda properly then i would recommend that under eachof yer decks pop an old fashioned concrete slab with some thick 2" foam under that. That'll help to keep em stable and reduce any needle induced feedback. this comes from yrs of setting the things up................... also try to get yer speakers set up off the stage so that they can't cause it to resonate excessively which will ultimately affect the decks. once set up a suspended pair from 6 chains - loooked the dogs and eliminated all floor movement and bass feedback - awesome.
