What is its true value? chris Various copies ranging from vg to nr mint have been coming up on ebay for the last 8 months or so. I watched 5 copies go for between £100 - £180 before getting lucky with a great copy for about $80 incl shipping about 4 months back. A cracking instrumental IMHO. I've heard folk refer to it as an 'rnb record' - when it's obviously a load of US session men trying to do Ska ('twas the Church St Five I believe??) - even has a (piss-poor) flip side called 'Everybody do the Ska'. This track's a breath of fresh air for me - a quirky, upbeat, 60's instrumental - could do with more tunes like this! Link to comment Social source share

Guest
Demand for this tune is huge so i suppose its got to be about right.I cant stand it myself. Just because a record is in " demand " , and goes for high money , sadly does not make it a good one ...... I , despite hearing it at venues , cannot find pleasure in it ........ Realpeoplesmusic
It's a quality record, gets quite a few spins on the mod/rnb scene, proper party tune but i suppose it's all down to opinion Link to comment Social source share
michael-j
just saw this mentioned somewhere as another Pittsburgh hit (the Back Slop b-side of course). has anything been written about this scene? they seem to have had some great mod-friendly records played (Pow Wow another good example) Link to comment Social source share
