Ebay Fee Change - How Much

Just about to start selling again on ebay and was rummaging around wondering if a shop would be useful when I noticed this gem:

https://web.ebay.co.uk/businesshub/index.ph...nges_uk_general

Essentially, from 20th Feb, they are reducing the listing fee by 33% but putting up the final value fee by .... 33%! They say the increase balances out the listing fee reduction !:ohmy:

To offset this they are introducing a discount scheme on the final selling fee % based on the seller ratings (not feedback). The discount for ordinary sellers is 20% but you need to be registered as a business on eBay and also do a volume of 100 items (or £750) per month on average for 3 months.

At first look it seems that if you are a casual but successful seller on ebay you are about to lose even more of your money.

Yep, eBay are true masters when it comes to 'adjusting' fees. And it'll be like this until people stop using it...

I decided to do things the hard way and I've started building a website for myself. I know it'll be harder to sell my stuff, but i'll be very glad if I don't have to deal with the ever-rising eBay fees anymore.
