I'm new to Soul Source and I've never started a topic before - hope this one doesn't get me into trouble. I went on a well known website ( or should I say sike) to get auction results and was told I was a frequent user and would have to pay a yearly fee to use the site. Has anyone else run into this problem??

I have just used it a couple of times - 11:00 here in Canada - and had no problem. What to they class as a frequent user?

I'm not sure- I might look at 8 or so records a month- it's not like I'm checking 50 records a day. The fees did seem pretty steep.

If you look at too many things on popsike it does make you register, maybe now they are trying to charge? I don't know how it tracks you. If it is via IP, you can try a different computer. If it is via a cookie, you could just try deleting your cookies and looking again (I guess you should do that first).

Yes, they have started to charge you if you are a frequent user of their site. It's about $20 per year or so and not much to quibble about.

As boba says, you CAN delete your cookies etc. or go to https://www.hidemyass.com and hide your IP that way, but it's a major pain if you're using Popsike a lot and in the long run easily worth the money they're asking just to not have to think about it.

Popsike isn't very good though. It misses half the results. Waste of money.

ive had the same thing,DONT PAY.if you leave it for a while,say a couple of hours you can get back on it for free,bit of a scam if you ask me

I was able to get on the website today with no problems so I was happy about that.

I agree with Pete- lots of results never show up on the site- really don't think it's

worth the fees they want to charge.

agree, waste of time at times as well as money. get better more accurate answers on here. It can be good for scans some times.

...and on some cases an easy way to unmask scammers on the bay.

But indeed: search function on SS is free and gets more accurate results, so paying for popsike is a bit silly imo.
