Julianb Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 Saw a UK red Atlantic copy last night - it had a small capital 'A' between 4 and 5 o'clock. The seller said it was a demo. Can anyone confirm this ( as I've never seen one before). Julian

Pete S Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 Like Roger said - definitely a demo. There are very few of these, maybe 15 to 20 red Atlantics which are proper demos like this. All are rare.
Julianb Posted February 2, 2008 Author Posted February 2, 2008 Thanks for the info - it's just that the 'A' looked like letraset

Pete S Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 Yes defo a demo, sold mine to Butch who passed it on to someone else, £60 didnt know it was that rare Pete saying that never seen another only us atco ones Sold mine to Mr Searling who I believe still has it. Bought it off Mark Wills in 1988. Funny how you can remember these things and know exactly where a copy of a record has been for 20 years
Modernsoulsucks Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 I've got this with date stamp 3 June 1966. No idea who added stamp - Atlantic or radio station. Yes it's obviously rare but had one years ago too and that was a demo as well. Probably makes little difference to price for UK copy ROD
Blake H Posted February 2, 2008 Posted February 2, 2008 Quite a few red Atlantic demos on the bay at the moment. BH
