Guest Richard Bergman Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Ive always been a fan of their "I love you more" single on Carnival. Wonderful closely knitted harmonies. A criminally underated band in my opinion.
Dave Morris Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Sorry, this is the B to 'Girl from a country town'. Books at £50. Last one i saw went for £30 vg+ Great double sider.Mine cost couple of quid few years ago when I bought it blind on a recommendation. Dave.
Anoraks Corner Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 "girl from a country town"on RAPDA by a country mile There are two label variants on this one, one with, and one without a little logo on it...both are red. Avoid there other Rapda 45 (green label) as it isn't even in the same league. My fave...'It's everything about you', just ahead of GFACT.
boba Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 Ive always been a fan of their "I love you more" single on Carnival. Wonderful closely knitted harmonies. A criminally underated band in my opinion. This was their hit in the US, it still gets played on the radio in Chicago at least. The flip "I'll be gone" is awesome too. I guess now that all their different 45s are getting mentioned here, I might as well also mention that they had 3 45s as the New Cymbals on de-lite. One of the records is the same 45 as the 2nd rapda 45, but the good one to get is their versions of the sensations/realistics "please baby please".

KevH Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 does GFACT remind anyone else of "Sailboat"-Bob & Gene?
NEV Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 does GFACT remind anyone else of "Sailboat"-Bob & Gene? One of my all time faves Maybe that's why i like it so much eh Just so happen to have a copy on MO-DO will check it out !
Wrongcrowd Posted January 30, 2008 Posted January 30, 2008 (edited) the same ones who did "i'll always love you"?.Didn't know it was the same band. Yep, the line up changed around some, but the main men Lee Williams. Al Miller and S. Brown were in the De-lite line up as they were with Rapda, Black Circle & Carnival. The stunning Please, Baby, Please is the "A" side of I'll Always Love You -1972 (same year as GFACT) - tune!! Edited January 30, 2008 by Wrongcrowd
