Dave Rimmer Posted January 27, 2008 Posted January 27, 2008 Must admit, been wondering where he is, or what he's been up to these days myself. Can anybody enlighten us? Brian is still around and pops up at different venues on a fairly regular basis. He did give me his email address once, and of course I lost it almost straight away , because I wanted to email him a photo of me, Brian, Pete Bennet, and Neil Jones, all of whom have Warrington connections, but non of us live there anymore. So if anyone has Brian's email addy, PM it to me please Ta

Anoraks Corner Posted January 29, 2008 Posted January 29, 2008 Top bloke. I worked with Brian (and Dave Evison) for a few years when we were all together at Charly Records back in the 80's! As you may imagine the main topic of discussion at the monthly sales meetings usually ended up about Northern! If anyone sees him next week, please pass on my regards...and indeed my contact details, if possible.

Barry Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 33 & a 1/3 P ? What is a 1/3 of a P ? I know that we had a 1/2 P , but please explain , Barry ........ Malc Burton It was a strange monetary denomination only available at all nighters Malc - I used to save my 1/3 'p's up and over a period of three months was able to get free transport from Wigan Bus Station to Winwick Roundabout (after 12.30pm) on a Sunday. This offer was only valid if you were able to produce an empty Wigan pie tin, a lock of Hilda Woods hair, and a black eye obtained from a bunch of Pemberton lads who thought you were knocking Stricnene Blueys out from behind the first radiator on the left through the double doors at the top of the stairs. Oh, the memories!
macca Posted March 14, 2008 Posted March 14, 2008 In an age of seemingly unapproachable DJs, Brian was already ready to share his knowledge of records & the early scene with whippersnappers like me. That meant a lot to me back then & still does now. Un tio cojonudo, as they say here. :-)

Yes , the episode has gone down ( steady - there may be children reading ) as one of the memorable events in NS history ........ It was stated that KS was showing the lass how to tune it ........ KS theme song for quite some time after was " I did it Steinway " ........ Malc Burton Edited March 16, 2008 by Malc Burton
