DO NOT TRUST! IF YOU HAVE BOUGHT AN ACETATE OF HIM CHECK IT IS VALID, peel the label back and check its not bright white underneath

he sent me a fake (pretend old) acetate (i checked the date of manufacture with the acetate manufacturer amd it was mar 2006) and then refused to refund my money making excuses i should be thankful anyway i urge all who bought acetates to check them.

Paypal also agreed with my claim as i had written proof from acetate manufacturer but he removed all his money from that account and then made a new one so we could not charge the cash back.

Oh dear, I'm shocked and surprised at this. I also bought an acetate. But having said that, it was of an unissued track and only one other person has it so I'm not gonna complain.

mine was also unissued but it was a fake made to look old, but as i handle stuff like this all the time i knew right away the laquer was new.

i suggest anyone who has purchased an acetate from this man check the serial number under the label and contact apollo mastering for a manufacture date here: https://www.apollomasters.com/ when i phoned and explained the situation they were very happy to help and suply me the documentation via email as proof.

Just out of interest Pete which acetate did you buy? I have had a few off Chris and questioned one, which is the Long After Tonight is All Over backing track on a bell acetate but he said it was 100% Ok - was a bit concerned because the red colour on the top half label was faded more than most bell acetates I have seen. So would be interested to know what you got?

Take care mate, Mike

Sure this it's this that one of the Carlisle lads played at Burnley nighter, opening set couple opf months ago. Made me go up to the decks, very good.

You got an MP3 Pete?

be a bummer if he'd sold ten 'one-offs' then done a bunk, wouldn't it?

I've just searched Burnley look backs the DJ was Andy from Carlisle and it was a Jimmy Radcliffe (Jimmy being the Artist) acetate I asked about, different one I guess

I have but I can't let you have the whole thing as I sold it for a lot of money and promised not to copy it!

I've heard Carl/Maria Willingham play the instrumental to "Long After Tonight Is All Over"

Des Parker

Its not the instrumental I have got - its the instrumental backing track and the girl backing singers doing their bit - its what he used to sing over for TV appearances - kind of 60's karaoke lol. Think there are three copies of the Barbara Jean English 'cos I got one of those as well!

Cheers
