Ian Seaman Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 This is getting more plays out now, i have heard it at a few venues recently, Skeggy, Horncastle, Notts area venues and seen it on a few playlists on other forums. It,s an 80,s recording, 1st played by Paul Seward from Barnsley i think !! Paul has some fantastic stuff and spends a lot of time searching for new stuff and finds loads of new good soul records from all over europe etc, mostly pic sleeve stuff too, he,s gotta be one of the best in this country for digging stuff out !! Anyway enough blowing of his trumpet what do you think of it ???? Just doesn't do it for me at this moment, i have a demo and have played it loads of times to try to get into it but just can't It,s not a pricey sound, seen it at £5 and £20 recently. Over to you lot !!
Simon M Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 (edited) A good Philly dancer popular on release But I prefer the band Truth on the same lable https://www.soul-source.co.uk/refosoul-soul...ing-home-davaki Edited January 22, 2008 by Simon M
Paul McKay Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 It's a good Northern style 70s dancer which I played at SITC (R.I.P.) a few times, so a few of our punters picked it up as a result. Still cheap too.
Geoff Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 First heard it played by Paul McKay at Soul In The City. He had a spare so bought it off him. I've played it out a couple of times to nice comments. In fact, Little Reg bought a copy off Paul after I played it at the Blue Skies alldayer last year. Will the fact that it isn't a rare dear record stop it being massive?
sepia Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 i sold a copy on here early last year. ernie andrews on here put me on to it. tiz a nice tune. should pick up for £5/10,plenty about.
Guest Posted January 22, 2008 Posted January 22, 2008 Superb tune, and the Truth 45 (coming Home) on the same label is even better. Both have had some spins locally and always get a good reaction. Not as many about as there used to be as people have been picking them up as they get more spins. Think I still have a Dunn & Bruce on my website, but currently out of stock of the Truth ones. Had small quantity on both a little while ago and have always recommended them to everyone. Sold pretty much all of them in the last few months, so maybe they will go big.... Adam.

I thought they were from Cleveland I used to buy this as a new release from Mirus distributors in Cleveland, Ohio. My site-info say "Wrote by Cleveland's Bobby Massey who did such great work on the Saru, Way Out & Solid Foundation labels" hope it not Philly i'll look a pratt.
