Guest Juddy Posted January 19, 2008 Posted January 19, 2008 OK - I'm sure this is old hat to everyone else, but somebody help a brutha out... I got this LP a year or so back - Ohio PLayers 16 Greatest Hits on Trip Records. It's got "Love Slips Thru My Fingers" on it, which is a great song that I've loved since getting some cheapo Northern CD with it years ago. I've seen the same song titled as by Towanda Barnes, but never knowingly heard it - I just did, online, and it's gotta be the same track. Same singer, everything. SO, here's my questions: - IS there an original-release 45 version, under either name? What label(s)? - IS it, indeed, exactly the same recording (T. Barnes vs. Ohio Players)? - Was there a time when Towanda Barnes was the "lead singer" for the OP's? - IS there another version by someone else? I read a few things online just now, and to be honest, I feel like I know less than I did before I started looking... THANKS!!! juddy pixxburgh vipers soul club www.myspace.com/vipersoulclub

If it a'nt been posted by tomorrow I will do that!
