Come see what's left of me - Bobby Hutton Deeper in my heart - Sonji Clay Gone now - Fran Jefferies For no other reason than the above are three of my favourite slower tunes! Personally the three before eight do nothin for me.......

Guest Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 call me an old fart but........ i really miss the enders at major venues the casino the ritz allnighters (90s) etc every venue should have its own signature tunes and end the night on a high let's say Togetherness niter: Lets stay together (in the spirit of two rooms playing modern and northern) We got togetherness A little togetherness If i was running my own do: The Panic is on - roy hamilton I never loved her anyway - jimmy beaumont stolen hours (gerrit?) patrice h cue clapping and atmosphere whatever happened to that? in the casino days it was worth hanging on till 8 just to be on that dancefloor for the final 3 or are we all too cool now? ps. before anyone asks i was there at the end of the last middleton at 8.30am which i believe was rita and the tiaras. i think different every time at that great venue is that a bad thing? Dave

macca Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 Never seen & still don't see what everybody, or almost everybody, sees in Timi Yuro. I've tried hard, but it doesn't tickle my gizzards. I'll get my hat, I'm checking out... My slightly mainstream 3b48 for today would be:- 3 - marvin gaye - too busy thinkin' bout my baby (I find this as uplifting as ain't no mountain high enough) 2 - sam cooke - another saturday night (open to interpretation this one) 1 - bobby bland - call on me (love the cha-cha-cha rythmn)

Malc Burton excellent 'ender' it is too malc, to that i would add ben e king - tears, tears, tears and finish on bessie banks - go now. (too slow to dance to, too gorgeous to miss out)
