OK....I'm reading the sleeve notes on the Four Tops 'Lost & Found' and it says 'Deep in the Pit of Your Love'....David Ruffin lead vocals added July 16th 1969....erm, am I going deaf or do I need new speakers but I can't hear David... Levi - yes. If anyone else has this STORMING BRILLIANT GENIUS track, could they put me out of my misery.... rolleyes.gif Jo

and perhaps my 'Biggest Hits' wicked.gif Thanks for confirming that I'm not too deaf. The sleeve notes say that DRs vocals and additional instrumentation added July 16th 1969.....I think it's a typo - although I would love to hear a version by DR if it exists. Jo

"Young man" .... your my friend for ever

I love the fact that you actually listen to the singers that closely, I bet you even know what the lyrics are. I think I may know the words to two songs...is it a girly thing?

Ahh Martyn, I wish I knew the lyrics to anything  I'm the world's worst at lyrics.....however, when info is on sleeve notes and it's to do with work, I have to make sure things are tickity boo. If it isn't DR then the sleeve notes need to be sorted. Sometimes mistakes happen but not that often whistling.gif Jo

David Ruffin and the Temps did quite a lot of backing vocals so he could be in there somewhere!

Only got a small clip of the track so its hard to tell.....but there are some awesome tracks on the disks.

Fantasy could have been so much better if they had taken the "Love Boat" out of it  I have Billy Eckstines

version which is great but also suffers from "Love Boatitis"

Steve, that's my kind of record review - great track but suffers from 'Love Boatitis' - pure genius  I'll try and stick a decent length clip of 'Deep' on Refo but it won't be until Monday so if someone else gets there first, that would be super. Jo
