Guest vinylvixen Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 OK....I'm reading the sleeve notes on the Four Tops 'Lost & Found' and it says 'Deep in the Pit of Your Love'....David Ruffin lead vocals added July 16th 1969....erm, am I going deaf or do I need new speakers but I can't hear David... Levi - yes. If anyone else has this STORMING BRILLIANT GENIUS track, could they put me out of my misery.... Jo

Any truth you've uncovered a track in tribute to your good sef 'Thanks for the mammeries?' lol and perhaps my 'Biggest Hits' Thanks for confirming that I'm not too deaf. The sleeve notes say that DRs vocals and additional instrumentation added July 16th 1969.....I think it's a typo - although I would love to hear a version by DR if it exists. Jo

Martyn Pitt Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Are you moving your lips, young man....I'll just put me glasses on I do love a Motown Mystery Jo "Young man" .... your my friend for ever I love the fact that you actually listen to the singers that closely, I bet you even know what the lyrics are. I think I may know the words to two songs...is it a girly thing? Martyn

Martyn Ahh Martyn, I wish I knew the lyrics to anything I'm the world's worst at lyrics.....however, when info is on sleeve notes and it's to do with work, I have to make sure things are tickity boo. If it isn't DR then the sleeve notes need to be sorted. Sometimes mistakes happen but not that often Jo
Guest Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 David Ruffin and the Temps did quite a lot of backing vocals so he could be in there somewhere! Only got a small clip of the track so its hard to tell.....but there are some awesome tracks on the disks. Fantasy could have been so much better if they had taken the "Love Boat" out of it I have Billy Eckstines version which is great but also suffers from "Love Boatitis"
TheBigO Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Having been behind a deck with you Jo, oooh er!, I am glad you cant remember the words to songs because if my memory and bleeding eardrums serve correct your voice is a pleasure thats best heard from behind 2ft of double glazing!!! lol

Jo
