Posted January 5, 200817 yr You're gonna love this...tape kindly supplied by Andy Rix...Fantastic memories here from a legendary Northern Soul venue. The DJ is Pep and the sounds include Danny Monday, Delreys Inc, World Column, The Crow, King Errison, Mel Britt and loads more Cleethorpes classics...you can even hear the sound of dancing feet on the pier floor. There are two parts to this, the second part sits above the first on the website so make sure you play part 1 first. https://planetrecords.podbean.com/

Love this, yes you can hear the feet, reminds me of the queue to get in. You could just feel that throb of the dance floor. before you even entered the place. One of the happiest times of my life, travelling in from Doncaster by Train. Me, Saus, John Philips all worked for the Railway at the time. Cheap Fares too. Happy Days. The Pier, was Brilliant. The Winter Gardens too. I well remember walking through the night to the Winter Gardens. The Whole Experience Magic. Thanks Again. Edited January 6, 200817 yr by 45cellar

Oh grow up, if you don't want me to post any live tapes without asking you first, just say so. I got it in the post off Andy yesterday, I never heard it before so I thought I'd share it with everyone, I thought it was his and didn't know it was already circulating. For years I thought it was called "Parade of fools" because thats how it was listed on the old Emidisc list where you could get anything cut via the back bar at Wigan.
