Jumpinjoan Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 I don't think a week has gone by in the last year when there hasn't been a Clara Hardy for sale on Ebay. Yet it still manages to fetch upwards of $200 a time...? One of those you either love or you hate... not quite love... but I have to say I do like it.
Mikevague Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 FYI... A detroit based ebay seller I just threw a lot of money at informed me (and he seems honest and together) that the exact number found was a 50 count box. He's positive... Hmmm...

Guest Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 OFF E-BAY OFF POPSIKE CHRIS Both look identical.
Guest Trevski Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Whatever, it's STILL a cracking good record, IMHO! Love it!
Soulcarp Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 one of those great £10 records now then dave behave your self don't think they will get as low as that
Chalky Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 I'll wait till they are 50 quid (Wont be long) I reckon the price will go back the other way (up) given time. Copies the seller had will dry up at some stage.

vaultofsouler Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 I'll wait till they are 50 quid (Wont be long) Ah.... but.... ah.... but.... all "our" records will be for that or a lot less when we're all using "zimmers" .... What's the point of waiting till then when they'll be nobody to play them to or talk about them to ....
Soulcarp Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Ah.... but.... ah.... but.... all "our" records will be for that or a lot less when we're all using "zimmers" .... What's the point of waiting till then when they'll be nobody to play them to or talk about them to .... thev'e been saying that for the last twenty years but class and rare records don't lose money
Baz Atkinson Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Im really undecided about the record, always have been really,i do think however the price will go the other way, take the prix singles ,the lesser known ones in some respects ie the eddie raye and jo king tracks are starting to rise again.I think if I am having this discussion next year then maybe not ,but go to the states and believe me you cant find anything in quantity these days so eventually i do feel there will dry up. Right back off to the media section ,im too knackered for meaningful discussions! BAZ A
Keithw Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 rememer this ooh theres loads of.................. betty lloyd----catching on betty wilson---im yours vondors------look in the mirror perfections/durettes boss four remember when Domar had one of these in each soul pack ================================================== bet you wish you had picked these up when they were in everybodys box if there were 500 clara hardy found how far would they go...... even the oxford knights/fredrick doo dar track ,doesnt appear as much now not like it did
bri pinch Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 IF THE GUY SAY'S HE 'S GOT A 50 COUNT I'D BE INCLINED TO BELIEVE HIM,, HOWEVER NEVER REALLY BEING SWAYED BY THE RECORDS RAREITY, 15 YEARS AGO WHEN IT WAS A LESS THAN 20 COPY RECORD I NEVER REALLY LIKED IT AND MY OPINIONS NOT CHANGED. THERE'S BETTER RARER 10 QUIDERS AS I SAID EARLIER , WHY WASTE TIME ON THIS. BRI PINCH.
De-to Posted January 11, 2008 Author Posted January 11, 2008 hi all,i think we need pete s or 45cellar or ??? on the case with any matrix or stamp numbers in the run-out to authenticate this one,so what has a real one got in that run-out???,the scans that somebody put up from popsike one seems a very glossy label, and the other one seems a bit dull, help before i buy one,cos i like the tune !!!

De-to Posted January 11, 2008 Author Posted January 11, 2008 ones a photo so maybe flash making it look glossier than it is hi chalky,it must have some sort of stamp in the run-out,ie ztsc/bellsound etc
bri pinch Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 AIN'T THE ORIG GOT AN ARCHER/ BELL SOUND STAMP OR SOMETHING . BRI PINCH.
Dave Pinch Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 yes its true to say that at a tenner id buy 10 copies and keep one meself coz ive never had one. if they dry up which at some point im sure they will it might creep back up a bit. but i really cant see it hitting the four figure perch it once sat on in my lifetime or my great grandchilds lifetime either.................................and they aint born yet dave
Gene-r Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 (edited) Excellent record all the same, but on a label like Tuna you'd always expect there to be something fishy about it! Was it first spun by John West(on)? - John, with your good sense of humour I know you wouldn't mind me saying that! Edited January 12, 2008 by Gene-R
Guest Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 AIN'T THE ORIG GOT AN ARCHER/ BELL SOUND STAMP OR SOMETHING . BRI PINCH. Original is NASHVILLE MATRIX stamped. The seller on ebay that has sold about 35 copies that I know of, said he only had one copy left about 20 copies ago! I know some UK dealers have got them in quantity, but it's not worth them selling them at the moment.
