Lenny Harkins Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Phew, Where did that year go? Exactly 12 months since we did the last 'Top Tips' thread... so here we go again! Here's your opportunity to tip the tunes in your box for future greatness over the next year... or simply list any number that you'd like to recommend to other Soul Sourcers. You might be a DJ with that tasty unplayed, unknown, hardly played or semi-known stuck in the back of your box that you'd love to play... but haven't yet got around to it. You might be a collector, sitting on a tune that you know, if it got into the right hands, could become massive in the next 12 months. It could be an LP track that, for whatever reason, has never been given the recognition it deserves. It might be a tasty 'B' side that, given the right exposure, might just become a monster! No need to post sound clips. Just let us know what you've got that you think deserves a plug in the coming year! As a quick lookback, the Top Tips for 2007 will appear on the next post. So come on. Look at your box and let's have your top tip (or tips) for 2008. Sean Hampsey anybody mention , THE VICTONES - MY BABY CHANGES - FRONT PAGE
Baz Atkinson Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 anybody mention , THE VICTONES - MY BABY CHANGES - FRONT PAGE LOVE THAT LENNY ILL POST IT UP LATER ,ONE THAT COULD GO DEFINETLY. BAZ A

Guest stromberg Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 just a few records I would like to hear more in 2008 are: Garland Green: Don't let love walk out on us RCA Truth: Coming home Devaki Jimmy Lewis: Is that any way to treat a lady Hotlanta Imperial Wonders: Trying to get to you Black Prince the Vipers: Little miss sweetness Duchess obviously nothing very obscure or rare, and not stuff with "mass appeal" to big northern venues, but just great underplayed soul records that would sound great being played out loud in a small club, IMO best, Stefan
