SoulOn2Wheels Posted January 2, 2008 Author Posted January 2, 2008 I like the record but getting fed up with hearing it to be honest. There's a few DJ's spinning it. Opposite for me, didn't like it when I first heard it, but now its grown on me. I'm recently back on the scene in the last 18 months after a 25 odd year break, so I have a lot of catching up to do. There is so much stuff being played that I either can't remember or haven't heard before. Its like being born again
Guest nusha Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 What else is he playing at the Mo.Is he still as good as ever.Hes on near me on Jan 12.Whats he tippin?
Steve G Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 Opposite for me, didn't like it when I first heard it, but now its grown on me. Same for me - hated it when I first heard it.
Maria O Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 Same for me - hated it when I first heard it. Opposite for me. Loved it when I first heard Keb play it (at least a couple of years ago now I guess) to a heaving room - and was surprised when it hit the soul scene so well, but it never had the same atmosphere. Then it got hammered everywhere I went and it started to get really, really annoying. These days, I take it or leave it... depends on what else is on, or when I last heard it. It's a shame when records get overplayed - and unfortunately that doesn't just happen on the oldies scene m
