Guest Baz Posted March 19, 2005 Posted March 19, 2005 Don varner - Tear staind face it has everything you could ask in a record and it being in mono just destroys you when he sings out of one speaker and the drums are pounding out the other

Very jealous Don't think I've heard the C/U yet, who's play is it? Ta Jamie link Butch been playing it for about ten years but not really pushed it. Andy D got the second known copy and Mick H got one from Butch. It's now getting pushed and getting the exposure I think it deserves. Think Mick Smith found the first copy and sold it Butch.

" Have given up on ALL such conversations. Alarm bells start ringing....& its time to get the hell out! I have tried & failed so many times to summarise and convey to people what Northern Soul is all about. Most people are not in the least 'moved' by soul so its all falling on deaf ears!

Guest in town Mikey Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 (edited) I defy anyone to sit this one out. One of those karaoke songs that we all know most if not all the words to. link One of the quotes of the weekend at prestatyn. Tim Brown had just played I'm Gone, and Sean Chapman followed it with little Anthony. An extremeley drunk, and raging friend of mine wentinto a tirade about it being 'bl00dy wrong playing this after such a great record'. The converstaion went on, with 3 of us agreeing its a great old tune. He ended up saying "I'm not gonna let this one go. First thing tomorrow I'm writing to my MP." My choice as always, Sandi Sheldon. With honourable mention to Earl Grant - Hide nor hair. Edited March 21, 2005 by in town Mikey
