John if you are going to pick flies then I should tell you that the Casino Classics label did not start up until 1977 or 78, thought you'd have known that like

Always thought this was a re-issue of the 73 issue, but have no idea about UK stuff

Thats what I was thinking about - could have sworn Stop what you're doing and Surrounded by a ray of sunshine came out back to back but I'm obviously thinking of something else, but it definitely came out on a pale blue Pye then a coloured one.

I bow to your superior knowledge Peter, it was certainly as you state a 1979 release. I think if my memory serves me right it states 1974 on the Casino Classic label, could of course be wrong?

But you are correct the first Casino Classic 45 was issued in 1978.

Not picking flies.. a lot of people collect the Pye Disco Demand label.. you'd have had them all running round looking for it..

"Surrounded" only came out of the "red to purple FADE" design label, unless you've seen a light blue one.

"Stop" came out on light blue Pye label 1st. then the "red to purple FADE" label.

You're right of course.

Casino Classics started 1978. Playthings was issued in 1979 but I think it states 1974 on the Playthings C.C. label. If my memory serves me right.

"STOP" was issued on both "Pale Blue" & "White" Pye , then "Red to Purple fade" Pye

the rarer "White" label of course as scanned above, I've always believe to be first, anyone know for definate?

"Surrounded" was only on "Red to Purple fade" Pye

Blake,

I think the original point got "lost" somewhere

we know "Stop" came out on Disco Demand #2007..

Pete was saying "Surrounded by" came out on Disco Demand, which of course it didn't...that the reason for my reply. The "Stop you'll " release confused the conversation...

John
