Prophonics 2029 Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 (edited) I was wondering if this is the version I first heard at Kirkham Conservative Club back in 1975. Anyone got a sound clip of this track. Edited December 26, 2007 by Prophonics 2029

Pete S Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 ===== 75-100 for issue on uk phillips...demos slighty harder to get... Bit of an understatement there Mark - the Philips demo is one of the hardest of all UK 45's. I've never had one, I've seen one in the flesh. It was always known as one of the rare UK pieces, even back in the late 70's. And you can't pick an issue up for 75 nowadays.

Prophonics 2029 Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 Over a nice duo pair of stereo speakers the LS in stereo is fantastic from the LP.

Pete S Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 Pete Have a search for Ford under UK soul 45's https://www.raresoulman.co.uk/searchartist....OHN&Format= He spelt it wrong, it Jon not John, so search didn't pick it up
Wiganer1 Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 No theres not...unless its an auction in which casehow is that relevant until the auction ends ------ anything i say is relevant
Sean Hampsey Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Pete's right. Jon Ford has always been a desirable and pretty scarce British piece. I tried tracking it down for years during the mid 70's... and then Junked a mint copy in 79 for 50p on the Whicker in Sheffield. The one on Manships is a relative bargain at a ton!
