All these records on Prix, Eddie Ray, Joe King, Royal Esquires etc. that are being sold on the bay, are they genuine? Might need to re-listen to em before someone tells me there s a killer deep soul 45. IS this CD a legit job - properly mastered - or just some bods who dubbed on all the 45s? It's done from original master tapes. Like everything on that label, the CD is also fully and legitimately licensed and includes extensive liner notes with many photos of groups and artists. Definitely buy it and throw away the actual CD if you're sensitive about these things. The unissued Eddie Ray track "Wait A Minute" (which recently was issued on a 7" as well) is truly awesome. And I take it that you haven't checked out their first Deep City compilation either? The unissued (acetate only) tune by The Moovers entitled "Darling I'll Go" is an utterly fantastic uptempo 60s dancer. Who's got the original acetate by the way?
