Simsy Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 (edited) It was me that requested it at the 100. I'd been on at him for a while to play it. There was one in Sales a couple of weeks back - 400 Euro's ... It's called 'A lovely Way To Die' btw.. Edited December 17, 2007 by Ian Sims

Chalky Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 (edited) is somebody's sales topic the place to be slagging a record off? How good a record might be I could understand! Edited December 17, 2007 by chalky
Simsy Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 is somebody's sales topic the place to be slagging a record off? Not really. But I wouldn't judge these comments as slagging, just comments..
Pete Eccles Posted December 17, 2007 Posted December 17, 2007 From the soundtrack of a film of the same name, starring Kirk Douglas i think, and i guess about as popular as the track it seems,
Guest Stuart T Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 From the soundtrack of a film of the same name, starring Kirk Douglas i think, and i guess about as popular as the track it seems, Tried to get a copy of the film just for the sake of it, with no joy. Personally think its a great stormer, not a Jackie Wilson best perhaps but a record that can hold its own in the general scheme of things. Out of interest, anyone know who the singer is in the Our Man Flint/In Like Flint (?) movie in the Marseille restaurant scene?
Paul-s Posted December 18, 2007 Author Posted December 18, 2007 Had spins at the Dome mate, you're years behind. I played it at Stonehenge in 1267!

mischief Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 I like it, but can't afford it this side of Christmas
Paul-s Posted December 18, 2007 Author Posted December 18, 2007 I prefer well done Eric Bristow meself...... Paul...sales threads, to avoid comments of a negative nature..... open, post...CLOSE UH Reg, whats that mean. Im only responding to comments?
Reg Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 UH Reg, whats that mean. Im only responding to comments? I mean close it if you don't want people to comment...then potential buyers won't be put off by other people's opinions Eg you post up a sale, some bugger comes on says it's poo...and somebody who may have bought it blind is put off If you close it right away then nobody can post on the thread. But then again if you get good comments it may help I suppose Ignore me...I talk rubbish on here when I'm bored at work....so a lot
Simsy Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 I like it, but can't afford it this side of Christmas Bit of a grey area as to the value on this. Only listed known copy sold was a couple of year's back for £130. Deffo worth more than that now. As stated was a copy listed here in sales section a few weeks ago from a French member for 400 Euro's - £285 a bit steep? Reckon the Japanese issue would be worth the big bucks - French £250 minter?
Peter99 Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 Just ok in my book. Would make a decent James Bond theme tune.
Guest SteveC Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 The "BIG HIT" is in my humble opinion a fantastic track - and just the sound I wish I could afford Paul.
Guest gordon russell Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 SORRY BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT ALL THE FUSS IS ABOUT NOT ONE OF HIS BEST IS IT have to agree
Guest Damien Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 Love it myself... last two I've sold for 400 euros Rare as hell 45 - Japanese press even rarer...
